Nettie throw pillows have been described as “gorgeous, rich, and sensual”. To achieve this, Paula looks for what compliments the elegance and textural potential of her designs when choosing fabrics and colours for her pillow collection. “It is important to create designs with shapes and lines that are soothing to the eyes yet breathe a sense of life and character into an environment”.
Paula has been a brand designer for the likes of Rossignol, Wired, and the Vancouver Film School. With a background in interior design, she has re-directed her love of both graphic and interiors into creating modern textile fashions, a perfect alternative for the design savvy person.
Nettie {short for Anastasia} was inspired by and named after her late Ukrainian Grandmother -- a woman who’s ability to transform a space with her passion for home crafting was impeccable. Paula combines her eastern european roots of rich colour and textures with a touch of asian minimalism and a tranquil westcoast allure to create pieces that are at once bold yet simple, classic yet modern.
